This box is very interesting. It's very stimulating for the mind. I like the feel and weight of it. I guess once I'm more relaxed with it, I would be able to shuffle it with more ease.
Kiddo (age 8) loves this thing, we may have to get another for the combination shapes.
My 7 year old grandson has been playing with this for days. Durable and fun.
Good quality, sturdy design, colorful graphics & an enjoyable challenge for the grandsons!
Very fun and entertaining. The only down side is that the corners VERY SLOWLY wear out. its not messy or sticky and no assembly needed.
I thought it was cool. The kid did not.
Thank you, Jeffsdfw - that might be the most honest four-word review we have ever received. Different shapes click for different minds; if the kid changes their tune (it does happen!), we are here. Glad one of you was impressed at least. -- FFF
Granddaughter enjoys these. I got her one for Christmas, and she asked for another one.
Great for all ages, mine were 9 & 11. Loved it. Has many shapes.
Good gift for grandson. Thought it was a little on the pricy side though.
This was a stocking stuffer for Christmas. At first glance the toy didn't look like much and was not impressive. But the more the kids manipulated it, made different shapes and different colors, they were enchanted. It was something they didn't want to put down. In fact, they told me they liked it more than they thought they would.
Grandkids love these! Keeps them even working together with different shape shifting boxes. They are fun and challenging. These are good for 4 and above. Even my husband is enjoying them!
We got this for my grandson for Christmas. He got a lot of nice gifts but the one gift he could not put down was the shape shifting box. When he got up the next morning that box was the first thing he picked up. He is gifted at making objects out of scrap anything. He is 8 yo and loves to figure things out. We encourage him toward engineering, science, working with detail tools. He can use a dremmel and carve wood figures. We have purchased two of these boxes he loves them. He is a run, kick the ball and play outside kid who does not sit and play games all day. These boxes occupy his mind and keeps his curiosity of our world interesting. Great gift. We will buy the entire set.
My boys (6 and 9) are obsessed with these. I was concerned about such a pricey fidget, but you genuinely get what you pay for! Top knotch quality, and such a nice brain workout for kids! It's not easy to break apart, which I worried about, and is even more fun to make things using 2 of them!
Was surprised by how small it was originally, but this has been one of the best little things our whole house has fidgeted with. We love it and trying to see who can make the different shapes or new ones. Its easy to shift, the quality is great, and it's so much fun for everyone. I plan on ordering more so we can make bigger ones.
These are so cool, they are lightweight, fun for kids and adults. Very durable. Functions great as a fidget, fits perfectly in a backpack, a suitcase, or a purse. Not sticky at all. My kids love them!
Madly enjoyed fidgeting with this. Been having anxiety recently and this toy is quite fun and will keep you distracted for some minutes. The material is quite nice and the cube is pretty light weight. Would recommend if you're looking for a new type of fidget toy.
Thank you, Fabrice. We're really glad it's been a good companion through a stressful period - sometimes the best tool for anxiety is something that fully occupies your hands while letting your mind breathe. Hope things ease up for you. -- FFF
This little box-like device is pretty neat. My son has wanted one for the past few years given a few of his friends have them and have combined theirs in the past while hanging out. I finally opted to grab one and he has been enjoying it. The device appears to bend in various ways to allow you to create different shapes and part of the draw is utilizing multiple to build even more unique ones. I'm just happy my son is enjoying it as it's a fairly simple thing at its core so I figured he'd lose interest quickly but I always see him just messing around with it around bedtime so it's keeping his interest for now.
Thank you, T.L. The bedtime fidget session is one of the quietest, most focused versions of play - a nice wind-down ritual that sneaks in creative thinking. And yes, the multi-cube combinations with friends are well worth planning for. -- FFF
I have purchased three of these cubes as gifts for kids (ages 9 and 13). They have been enjoyed by the recipients, teenagers, and adults.
- They're fun fidgets to manipulate into surprising shapes. We like to come up with names for the different shapes.
- Order at least two because fitting shapes together to create new designs is even more intriguing.
- The designs and colors are vibrant and pleasing to the eye.
- The cubes are expensive, especially to buy multiples. It's best to buy them when the price is lower - watch the price history and wait for the lower price.
Thank you for such a thorough note - and the tip about ordering at least two is one we'd echo wholeheartedly. The combination shapes are genuinely a different experience. On price: the quality is built to last, and catching it at the right moment makes it feel like the steal it is. -- FFF
You want kids to fight over a toy??? Get this!!!! It is addictive - pick it up and you won't want to put it down. I think it is soothing and would be great for ADHD and anxiety. Great value for the money and top quality. Thumbs up and 5 stars!
Thank you for this! Pick it up and you won't want to put it down - that is pretty much the highest compliment it can get. The ADHD and anxiety angle is something a lot of our customers share; there is something about the rhythmic shape-shifting that genuinely helps quiet the noise. -- FFF
I bought this for a grandchild for Christmas. She loves this kind of thing and I thought she would enjoy it. They are a little steep in price and I must say, I was a bit surprised when it arrived in a tiny little 2.5 x 2.5 inch box, (From the pics, I was expecting something about double that size). I wanted to be certain I was getting a decent quality item, so I removed it from the box and started messing around with it to check quality and entertainment value. Well, we are now 3 days closer to Christmas since it arrived and I am no closer to getting back into that 2.5 x 2.5 box it came in. It is ridiculous how many times I have tried to fold it back into a tiny little square! To be honest, I simply feel frustrated with the whole damn thing. I even had ideations of tearing it apart and gluing it back together. (Then I remembered what I paid and I thought better of it.) The quality certainly seems decent. I am basing that on the fact that it didn't come apart yet and I think I have folded it every which way to Sunday. On the upside, my granddaughter is probably going to love it! She is just 9 yrs old, but will probably get it back in the box in 5 minutes!! So, I guess what I am reluctantly saying, is that I think the entertainment value is there. I still have 20 days to get some help (probably from a kid!) with getting this back in the box it came in. Otherwise, I will find a new box to wrap it in and keep the old box - so I can show the granddaughter how it looked when I got it. It is a little embarrassing that I have found this to be so difficult. But, I am trying to be transparent here and forewarn you that UNLESS you have some help from a genius (ok maybe exaggerating there), DO NOT take it out of the box to try it out if it is a gift for someone else! If they weren't so darn expensive, I would have simply just ordered another one and kept this one for my dumb self. EDIT: 01/24/23 - I did order a second one for myself (and company). Mind you, I did not even get it out until several days after Christmas. Today is the 24th of January and so we maybe had it opened 3 weeks. It has been played with quite a bit by kids and adults alike, however it is tearing apart at one of the seams. So, frankly we are a bit disappointed for spending on something we thought we would enjoy a bit longer. After only 3 weeks, it is clear this one is not going to last much longer. I guess on the upside, it is really pretty cheap entertainment these days, when you consider the cost of going to a movie or bowling, eating out or any other activity. We probably did get our money worth of entertainment, but still.
Thank you, Redman62 - this review is genuinely one of the most entertaining things we have read, and we mean that with full respect for the struggle. The folded it every which way to Sunday frustration is a rite of passage almost everyone goes through before it clicks (tip: start by flattening into a cross shape first). On the seam wear noted in your edit - that is real feedback we take seriously, and we are sorry the second one did not hold up as long as it should have. -- FFF
